Perhaps the reasoning HP used for the decision was a bit short-sighted? In fact, all the applications I need to run work fine. on this computer, MS Office works, Nero works.

HP does not have any test data on Windows XP 64 bit and no drivers for 64 bit Operating System are available HP support for Windows XP 64 bit Edition is limited to HP business PCs. To install the XP64 bit operating system, both the processor and motherboard components should support it. Seems strange that Compaq/HP would sell a 64bit machine but offer no drivers to support it. If Anyone can help and has had the same problem and found an answer, or know how to get it working, that would be great! I wounder if anyone will have the same problem when windows hits public. What really gets to me is that this is a windows vista capable Pc.
Is there any kind of driver out there that will work for my paciffic sound card? whats really wierd is that when i install windows 32bit, my sound works, but my AMD turion64 processor does not,(can't find a driver for it) but when i install the 64 bit version, It's the other way around.!
